Kho Phangan's climate is the whole year beautiful. Blue-sky days and a nice sea breeze are the norm. For the purists, late December to late of March is the ideal tropical island weather. Kho island has much more to experience than just a crazy all night partyplace, the island has also a quiet area, offering the private atmosphere of a resortwith great beachscenery, or yogacourses and various other possibilities.

Situated in the southern siamese Gulf of Thailand Koh Phangan is sister Haad Rin in the late 80's. They had a Haad Rin Nok and from the whole bay. You can use the roads to Had Rin, but we have warned you that the roads are not in the best condition and only if you are a competitant motorbike rider then do not attempt to get to HaadRin, as nearly all accidents involving motorbikes happen in this area. Our advice is to leave your motorcylce at the 7/11 at Ban Tai and pay about 50 Baht for a pickup over the mountains to Had Rin.

The first Full Moon started with a some backpackers raving at the east side of Haad Rin more than 20 years ago. They had a beachparty in the brightly moonand an increasing amount of foreigners turned up every month. Today there are about 6000-14000 hippies who are participating and dancing to psychedelic, jungle, and many different other sound styles.Good DJ's playing the music from the restaurantsat the east side of Haad Rin and from the the town. Simmilar to Koh Samui, Koh Pha-ngan has enjoyed substantial year on year increase in tourist arrival numbers and it is known its own right for its every month held infamous Full Moon Parties happening at Haad Rinbay. Because of its massive partyscene some have named Phanganthe Ibiza of the east. If enjoing tropical nature, taking a yogaclass is your sort of holiday activity, this island is just the right place. If you like to meeting people from every part of the globe and enjoing one of the frequent parties, Koh Phangan is just perfect, as well. There are concrete roads to HadRin, but we have warned you that the roads are not in the best condition and unless you are a competitant motorcycle rider then do not try to get to Haad Rin, as most accidents involving scooters happen in this area. Our advice is to leave your motorbike at the seven eleven at BaanTai and pay approx 40 Baht for a taxi over the hills to Haad Rin.
